Great Hallingbury Manor & Lodges London Stansted Bishop's Stortford

We had a fantastic stay at a charming hotel near the airport. The customer service was exceptional, and we were delighted by the warm welcome we received. On arrival, even though the restaurant was closed, they kindly offered us a delicious vegan sandwich and chips, which was promptly delivered to our room. The room itself was spacious, with a large bathroom and an amazing shower. Everything was spotlessly clean and incredibly comfortable. The hotel grounds were also stunning, adding to the overall beauty of the place.

While the location was convenient, being near the airport meant that we experienced some noise from the airplanes. However, this was to be expected and did not significantly impact our stay.

Stayed for park and fly deal, car stayed at hotel. Lovely room, pretty grounds. Friendly helpful staff. Bargain price cheaper than airport parking! Convenient location near M11. Clean room, good breakfast. Tea, coffee, biscuits, toiletries provided. Comfy duvet, free WiFi. Flexible room change.

The main building was very pretty, and the evening meal in the restaurant was delicious. I loved that I could have a meal by the lake, which provided a wonderful setting. The staff were friendly and efficient, making me feel welcomed throughout my stay. Additionally, the location of the hotel directly on the Stansted flight path was perfect for my overnight stop before flying out of the nearby airport. It was so convenient!

Nothing not to like.

I had a really comfortable stay at this hotel. The room was spacious and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The bathroom was also a good size and very well appointed. The breakfast in the morning was delicious, with thick bacon and tasty sausages. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, especially the blonde staff member who sorted out a small problem I had. The hotel is located in a tranquil area, right under Stanstead's direct flight path, which made for a peaceful atmosphere. The hotel also offers great amenities such as room service and housekeeping, making my stay even more convenient and enjoyable.

Although the staff were friendly, they could be better trained. The male receptionist seemed a bit incompetent and the Duty Manager was nowhere to be seen when there was a group of females causing disturbance.

Convenient location near airport, helpful and friendly staff, comfortable bed, excellent food, potential for a beautiful building.

Not one thing.

The hotel's location near the airport made it convenient for our early morning flight, but the constant noise from planes flying overhead kept us awake at night. However, the hotel's lakeside restaurant provided a nice setting for a meal.

On arrival, the check-in confusion between different buildings left us frustrated and inconvenienced.
